Warranty Writer
AgriLink Equipment is searching for a dynamic, motivated individual to join our team as a Warranty Writer.
AgriLink Equipment is an agriculture equipment dealer servicing Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Versatile, Morris, and MacDon product lines. As Warranty Writer, you will assist the Service Manager in maintaining a smooth running, efficient Service Department with a high degree of customer satisfaction. The Warranty Writer is responsible to administer and assist in processing warranty claims, based on the manufacturer’s or supplier’s criteria. They work closely with the Service Department and provides internal personnel with information on all warranty matters.
Responsibilities
- Process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
- Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items, including proper storage of these items
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers’ publications
- Maintain up to date technical qualification by completing all training programs assigned by the Service Manager
- Maintains the service library along with the Service Department filings and records with current information (for example, files, bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
- Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.
- Willing to work long hours and weekends (April – October)
- Other duties assigned by Service Manager
Skills & Qualifications
- Good understanding of the Agriculture industry, familiarity with Agricultural equipment and a strong mechanical aptitude. Training will be provided.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair orders and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Advanced interpersonal and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to negotiate customer complaints to a satisfactory resolution
- Self-starter who can work independently and efficiently with an eager and motivated attitude and can take direction
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Safe operation of a forklift, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position, lifting to 50lbs unassisted, walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
The successful candidate will have the option to work from our Brownlee or Moose Jaw location.
